• The more we talked to regular travelers about the benefits of using the Internet to research their business trips, holidays or vacations, the more we heard people complaining about the time it takes to find useful, up-to-date sites.
• Most traditional search engines do not 'think'; they attempt to respond to your enquiries by looking for matching key words in sites on the Web, often producing unrelated information.
• Most of the travel search directories still have you chasing all over their site trying to locate the full collection of information you need to plan a holiday - that is, transportation, accommodation, car hire, restaurants, tours, local time, weather etc - all relating to the region you want to visit.
• So we decided to turn our Internet research skills to putting the travel related sector of the Web into a properly thought out order!

For instance, most of the rated sites are directories providing choice of travel operator or other supplier in that particular category.
